Just Ask Logo

Even if you don’t know anyone who is a member, all you need to do is to complete the membership enquiry form. We will then get in touch with you, talk you through the process of joining, and take time to explain what Freemasonry is and what it means to be a Freemason.

Alternatively you can contact us via email, Facebook or use any of the “Just Ask One” links which are available on our website or on all other freemasonry websites.

What happens after I contact you about joining?

After you contact us a friendly member of our lodge (normally our membership officer) will contact you for an initial conversation and to organise a visit to discuss freemasonry with you further. This can take a couple of weeks to organise but will answer all of your questions.

Federation of School Lodges

We are a proud member of the Federation of School Lodges.

The Federation of School Lodges traces its roots back to 1909, when five school Lodges meeting in London formed a standing committee, later becoming the Public School Lodges’ Council in 1936. In 1946, a separate organisation known as the Federation of School Lodges was established to preserve and promote the unique ethos of Lodges connected to schools and academic institutions.

Today, the Federation comprises more than 170 Lodges across the country and supports Craft Lodges, Royal Arch Chapters, and Mark Lodges linked to schools, colleges, and universities.

Since the first Annual Festival in 1948, the Federation has hosted gatherings throughout the United Kingdom, strengthening the bonds of friendship and shared heritage between school Lodges. In 2025, Pharos Lodge No. 6967 had the honour of hosting the Federation Festival Meeting at Dover Grammar School for Boys, continuing this long-standing tradition of fellowship and cooperation.
